Freight Forwarding - Customer Service Representative - GAC Group
Join GAC Group as a Freight Forwarding Customer Service Representative.
Responsibilities- Attend inquiries and submit suitable quotes to customers within requested time frames; if unavailable, offer a reasonable explanation with a possible response time.
- Follow up on quotations, send nominations to partners, track nominations, and provide regular status updates to customers on pending shipments. Keep the account manager informed.
- Update partner lists, current rates, and services.
- Issue all job‑related requirements such as quotations, status updates, routing orders, and scheduling appointments/visits with customers through the GACFREIGHT software.
- Ensure timely closure of jobs by uploading vendor invoices, customer invoices, and dispatching invoices to clients regardless of the services offered.
- Maintain telephone and e‑mail etiquette, adhere to GAC ethics, dress codes, attendance reporting, and language requirements as per company procedures.
- Graduate with a management‑related degree.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in customer service and telesales or related functions.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, quick learning ability, and multitasking capability.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Ability to make decisions quickly using sound business judgment.
- Proficiency and comfort with computer/internet (web/email).
