• Geotechnical investigation.
• Geotechnical engineering analyses such as slope stability, settlement, bearing capacity, and seismic.
• Geotechnical and site characterization.
• Review factual design reports, borehole logs and laboratory testing.
• Preparation of geotechnical field investigation specifications and geotechnical interpretive reports.
• Prepare foundation and pile design as well as ground improvement recommendations.
• Develop engineering solutions to challenging structural and geotechnical problems and site conditions.
• Coordination and support with marine and structural team on projects.
• Oversee waterfront structure and marine infrastructure projects.
• Design and engineering for harbors, marinas, vessel mooring and berthing structures, bulkheads and seawalls, breakwaters and shore protection structures, shoreline stabilization and sediment management.
• Development and management of instrumentation monitoring systems.
• Small project/task management and proposal preparation support.
• Preparation of engineering reports, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications.
• Attend meetings with clients and regulatory authorities.

• Bachelor's degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (required)
• Advanced degree in civil, coastal, structural or geotechnical engineering. (preferred)
• Professional engineer licensure (preferred)

• At least 7 years (8+ preferred) of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)
• Strong oral and technical writing skills. (required)
• Familiarity with international geotechnical design standards including Eurocode and British Standards. (preferred)
• Familiarity and experience on coastal and waterfront projects. (preferred)
• Experience with engineering software such as AUTOCAD, Slope/W, SAP
  2000, ALLPILE, STAAD Pro, MATLab, SWAN, SBEACH, MIKE
  21, and Plaxis. (2D/3D) (preferred)
