Senior Design Mechanical & Plumbing Engineer. SOCOTEC provides risk management and technical consulting services and supports clients throughout the asset cycle in Construction, Infrastructure and Industry.

• Provide Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering services, including but not limited to design and design review for building and infrastructure projects in the UAE and internationally.
• Review HVAC and Plumbing designs, calculations and reports per Abu Dhabi Municipality requirements.
• Attend site visits and meetings as required by the project and clients.
• Identify business opportunities for SOCOTEC and work with the Commercial team to develop them.
• Assist the Commercial team with the preparation of fee proposals and quotations.
• Liaise with Technical Manager and Accountant for reporting and invoicing.
• Assist Technical Manager, Accountant and Managing Director in analyzing financial data associated with projects.

• Deliver the highest quality of work to SOCOTEC clients within required time frames.
• Ensure work is carried out per relevant instructions and exceeds client expectations.
• Comply with SOCOTEC group policies and procedures.
• Achieve and maintain the highest qualification levels for relevant consultancy disciplines.
• Participate in quality assurance through document review, supervision, and assessment of staff, providing leadership to the engineering team.
• Set a positive example for colleagues and undertake other responsibilities as reasonably required.
• Maintain high standards of administration.

• Comply with Socotec International and client quality, safety and environmental systems and procedures.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses or hazards and complete relevant paperwork.
• Contribute to a culture of safe practice and environmentally responsible work.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8 years’ experience, including 4 years in Abu Dhabi.
• Knowledge of ADM codes and local regulations; experience with international codes and local regulations.
• Experience in Mechanical Design and Design Review in the building construction industry.
• Fluent in English;
  Arabic recommended.
