Technical Superintendent – V.Group
Location: United Arab Emirates – Abu Dhabi

Overall Purpose of the Job: Operate and maintain ship marine equipment safely, efficiently, and within approved budgets to satisfy owners and clients, approve purchases per the authority matrix, and perform all tasks outlined in the responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities and Tasks- Responsible for the technical management and performance of vessels (including well‑intervention equipment), including technical budget.
- Serve as on‑shore contact point for day‑to‑day technical operations and mobilisation activities.
- Ensure vessels operate in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Coordinate statutory and classification surveys for all plant and equipment.
- Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent downtime.
- Provide feedback to Fleet Manager and Ship Sure team to improve maintenance systems.
- Monitor technical performance, KPIs, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Report vessel technical status weekly to the Fleet Manager.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise ship repair and dry‑docking, arranging spares and engineers.
- Lead vessel condition assessments with owners.
- Participate in onboard personnel appraisals.
- Comply with V.Ships Offshore Vessel Management System and report non‑conformities.
- Collaborate with other disciplines to optimise vessel and fleet performance.
- Work independently and as part of a team.
- Focus on problem solving and decision making.
- Proactively seek effective solutions for the company and clients.
- Communicate openly and share information.
- Demonstrate flexibility in ad‑hoc situations.

Essential Qualifications- Relevant work experience in technical superintendent or similar roles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Basic financial understanding and budgeting experience.
- Creative problem‑solving ability.
- Experience in marine engineering or offshore vessel management.
- Knowledge of classification societies and statutory compliance.
- Previous exposure to dry‑dock or major repair programmes.
