As a 3D modeler, you make a difference by transforming your passion for infrastructure and dredging projects into high-quality 3D models and detailed but pragmatically made 3D designs, continuously growing and taking on challenges in your field, in order to contribute valuable insights to projects within Boskalis.

You understand that project based work requires a balance between speed and accuracy; what you model will be constructed outside very soon.

As a 3D modeler, you work in the Hydronamic engineering department. Hydronamic has a team of around 80 people in different design disciplines, working from the main office in Papendrecht, on projects and working from our new offices in Abu Dhabi. Hydronamic is responsible for the construction designs in tenders and acquired projects within the Dredging division of Boskalis, often with an integral and multidisciplinary character.

We have an opportunity within the same team for a senior, medior and junior levels.

• Develops 3D designs, reviews 3D models, and creates models using software and other tools, methods, and techniques. Coordinates these models to optimally facilitate the implementation of the geometrical designs.
• Reviews drawing specifications and reference designs and gathers all necessary information. Determines what needs to be modeled in each construction phase.
• Identifies interfaces, risks, and opportunities in the project model, assists with coordination.
• Advices and supports design and projects teams on technical aspects and inquiries, creates animations to provide insight into processes and constructions.
• We will guide and coach you to work in our development toolchain and the Boskalis business, for you to quickly.

You can make your mark as a CAD engineer (modeler) if you will have:

• Civil Engineering, Survey or similar Bachelor’s degree level of working and thinking.
• Minimum of 3years of work experience
• You have knowledge of modeling software Civil3D in combination with Sub Assembly Composer and Navisworks
• Knowledge of CAD - BIM standards, regulations, and guidelines
• Proficient in the English language.
