LocationAbu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates
Job Level & TypeMid-Level, Full-Time
Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Robotics Engineer to join our advanced robotics team. In this role, you will design, develop, and deploy intelligent robotic systems that leverage cutting‑edge AI, computer vision, perception, estimation, sensor fusion, and control algorithms. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers, engineers, and product developers to bring novel robotic capabilities from concept to deployment in real‑world environments.
Responsibilities- AI & Perception: Develop and integrate perception systems using computer vision, deep learning, and multimodal sensing; build robust pipelines for real‑time detection, recognition, tracking, and scene understanding; implement scalable frameworks for training, testing, and deploying AI models on embedded and edge devices.
- Estimation & Sensor Fusion: Design algorithms for state estimation, localization, and mapping (e.g., SLAM, visual‑inertial odometry); architect and maintain sensor fusion pipelines combining LiDAR, cameras, IMU, radar, and GNSS; implement probabilistic filters (Kalman, EKF/UKF, Particle) for robust estimation under uncertainty; ensure robustness with time‑synchronization, calibration, and sensor noise management.
- Controls & Planning: Develop and implement control strategies from PID and adaptive controllers to Model Predictive Control (MPC); create trajectory tracking and motion planning algorithms that handle noisy inputs and dynamic environments; research and deploy methods for robust target tracking and disturbance rejection; optimize control architectures for stability, safety, and performance in both simulations and real‑world robotics.
- System Integration & Deployment: Integrate estimation, perception, and control modules into robotic systems ensuring seamless hardware/software interoperability; conduct simulations, validation, and large‑scale field tests to evaluate performance; optimize algorithms for real‑time execution on CPUs, GPUs, and FPGAs.
- Leadership &
Collaboration:
Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects; collaborate with cross‑disciplinary teams in hardware, embedded systems, and software; stay current with advances in robotics, AI, perception, estimation, and controls, and integrate novel research into applied solutions.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python for robotics and AI development.
- Hands‑on experience with robotics frameworks such as ROS/ROS
2. - Practical knowledge of SLAM and LiDAR‑based perception systems
- Experience deploying reinforcement learning algorithms in simulation and on real robots.
- Familiarity with cloud‑based robotics platforms (e.g., AWS Robo Maker, Azure IoT Hub, Google Cloud Robotics).
- Proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or Webots) and visualization frameworks (e.g., RViz).
- Strong software engineering practices: version control (Git), CI/CD, containerization (Docker).
- Culture: A collaborative, globally minded team building the future of physical intelligence. We value curiosity, courage, and creativity, and we’re united by a belief that technology should amplify human potential rather than replace it.
- Impact:
Opportunity to work on projects with national and global significance, from adaptive cities and resilient infrastructure to next‑generation sports, entertainment, healthcare, and energy. Every product you help build contributes to shaping a safer, smarter, and more human‑centered world. - Growth:
Outstanding opportunities for learning and career development. You’ll collaborate with leaders across AI, robotics, mixed reality, and systems engineering, while working on industry‑first, frontier‑scale solutions. - Rewards: A competitive compensation package with healthcare, education support, and generous leave benefits, reflecting the high value we place on our people and their families.
