Job DescriptionThis role supervises, coordinates, and controls all maintenance, refurbishment, and construction activities, including installations, commissioning, and testing of equipment, buildings, and systems. The engineer carries out preventive maintenance (PPM) per schedule, ensures field activities meet standards, and collaborates with stakeholders to achieve high reliability and availability of facilities.
Strategic Responsibilities- Develop an effective preventive maintenance program.
- Implement a sound facility inspection program to minimize maintenance costs and enhance reliability.
- Plan to achieve contractual KPIs with zero non‑compliance.
- Train the work group in line with operational needs.
- Execute contractual governance effectively.
- Maintain a strong customer focus.
- Supervise all activities of assigned personnel.
- Receive and review incoming work orders and requests.
- Plan and conduct routine and preventive maintenance based on priority guidelines.
- Provide technical advice to subordinates and ensure activities comply with contractual terms.
- Troubleshoot and analyze root causes to avoid recurrence and deliver permanent solutions.
- Plan and carry out commissioning activities related to new projects.
- Prepare regular work reports, daily reports, equipment failure reports, and incident/accident reports.
- Ensure subordinates and contractors follow ISO & QHSE standards and use the system to maximize facility availability and reliability while minimizing costs.
- Manage sub‑contractor services in line with contractual requirements.
- Ensure the team is equipped with appropriate PPE, tools, and equipment.
- Conduct training and development specific to operational needs.
- Implement proper MWW standards.
- Assist in developing plant changes for modifications or system improvements.
- Help develop and implement operational/functional maintenance to improve efficiency.
- Initiate digital transformation for paperless workflows.
- Provide innovative ideas to reduce time and cost without compromising quality.
- Assist in preparing and implementing energy conservation plans.

Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline; MMUP Certificate preferred. - MINIMUM

- Proficient with MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, and facilities management software tools.
- Strong organizational, supervisory, and leadership skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of ISO, OHSAS, and audit requirements.
- PREFERRED:
Relevant experience in UAE or Gulf region. - MINIMUM
: 5+ years in operations & maintenance, hands‑on experience with FM systems, and exposure to state‑of‑the‑art facilities.
