Role Summary
The Energy and Water Manager is responsible for developing and implementing airport-wide energy and water efficiency programs aligned with sustainability goals. The role focuses on identifying, engineering, and delivering consumption and cost reductions, leading audits, conducting Measurement & Verification (M&V), analyzing performance trends, and producing clear technical reports, proposals, and business cases for the client.
Key Responsibilities Consumption Reduction- Reduce utilities consumption in line with sustainability and operational targets.
- Deliver annual cost savings as per approved targets.
- Conduct regular energy audits to identify efficiency opportunities.
- Perform weekly site inspections for ZIA and monthly inspections for other airports; prepare reports and action plans.
- Explore renewable energy integration options.
- Implement innovative solutions for utilities management and efficiency improvement.
- Conduct technical analysis of BMS/SCADA systems, chiller plants, HVAC, lighting, pumps, irrigation, and leak detection.
- Optimize system setpoints, schedules, and operational parameters.
- Use real-time monitoring tools to track and optimize consumption.
- Implement energy-efficient technologies and support sustainable system upgrades.
- Ensure energy-related equipment is maintained for peak performance.
- Compile sustainability data including energy use, water use, emissions, and reduction progress.
- Monitor energy and water costs and analyze utility bills for savings opportunities.
- Conduct ongoing M&V against approved baselines.
- Develop metering strategies, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
- Facilitate and track delivery of initiatives in coordination with FM service providers and internal teams.
- Manage service providers to ensure compliance with Facility Manager, Wasael PM, and client policies.
- Work collaboratively with the Facility Manager team to promote best practices.
- Lead energy conservation initiatives across airport stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting obligations.
- Prepare and present proposals and business cases to the client.
- Provide input to annual CAPEX and OPEX budgets.
- Contribute to financial reporting processes.
- Support procurement by delivering technical evaluations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Direct Manager.
