Fleet Engineer - IFEC
We are seeking a Fleet Engineer - IFEC to join our team at Etihad Airways. The role reports to the Technical Fleet Manager – Fleet Management and is responsible for the compliance of applicable CAR‑AIR‑OPS, CAR M and CAR 145 requirements, ensuring continuing airworthiness and high aircraft safety standards.
Responsibilities- Review all IFEC‑related Airworthiness Directives and mandatory Service Bulletins for the Etihad Airways fleet to ensure all mandatory modifications are assessed, decisions made, and related EOs and ADRs issued in a timely manner.
- Work with OEMs, MROs and internal departments to improve fleet reliability, on‑time performance and reduce costs.
- Create business cases for modifications and facilitate decision‑making in the Modification Review Committee.
- Compile Engineering Orders, Special Checks and Additional Engineering Requirements for modifications and aircraft status assessment.
- Support technical projects (e.g., end‑of‑aircraft‑lease, modification projects).
- Ensure all TFU/FAR are reviewed regularly and related advisories issued.
- Ensure work is performed in accordance with internal processes and procedures.
- Encourage a positive reporting culture by reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions or safety risks.
- Perform duties related to software management and e‑enabling.
- Provide support to the Lead Engineer on fleet management functions.
- Tertiary qualification in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics engineering (or equivalent). Eligible for membership as a chartered engineer.
- Minimum 3 years CAMO experience as Fleet Engineer / Technical Services Engineer, or 5 years of job‑related experience in Technical Commercial Aviation or Airline Engineering.
- Training on Safran, Panasonic or Thales IFE systems and experience with AMOS MIS is an added advantage.
