Senior Technician, Mechanical Maintenance (BB)

JOB PURPOSE: Performs skilled mechanical maintenance activities at an advanced level in Offshore sites and supports engineering, construction and commissioning activities, onshore and offshore during project stages for static equipment (vessels, air coolers, tanks, columns, accumulators, pig launcher/receivers, etc.), utility packages, piping & valves.

• Serve as performing authority/job officer by performing tasks and directing a workforce that includes mechanical technicians, vendor representatives, and riggers during preventive, corrective, breakdown, shutdown, and turnaround maintenance in the Super Complex and Well Head Towers.
• Receive work requests from the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and attend directly to requests from various sections for maintenance of static equipment, utility packages, piping, and valves in the Super Complex and WHTs.
• Perform installation, removal, inspection, and repair of mechanical spare parts on utility packages, piping, valves, etc., in accordance with O&M manuals.
• Safely direct assigned workforce (technicians, vendors, riggers, subcontractors) possessing related skills, and participate in workforce tasks as needed.
• Execute passive fire protection coating of static equipment and support activities in line with international codes and standards.
• Perform piping & valve insulation and heat‑tracing maintenance, including flange management using the correct tools.
• Assist the supervisor in improving crew productivity by making relevant recommendations and achieving cost‑effective maintenance, including identifying spare‑part requirements.
• Prepare inputs for Task Risk Assessments (TRAs) and monitor tools, spares, and materials for conformity with orders upon arrival.
• Verify the compliance of contractors’ work for completion and technical acceptability.
• Preserve and store spare parts & consumables per vendor procedures.
• Provide comprehensive e‑logbook handovers at shift changes.
• Support engineering, construction, and commissioning activities, onshore and offshore during project stages for static equipment and packages.
• Raise punch points and observation records for non‑conformances found during onshore construction and follow up for close‑out.
• Participate as part of a multidisciplinary maintenance support team, reviewing procedures and recommending future improvements.

• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to accomplish operational objectives.

• Provide on‑the‑job training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

• Maintain all tools, safety gear, and equipment provided by the company safely and in working condition.
• Arrange for repair or replacement of any tools and safety gear that are not in good working condition.

• Carry out all maintenance jobs in line with assigned time standards.
• Inform the Maintenance Supervisor if additional resources are required to meet the assigned time frame.

• Contribute to identifying areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in operating procedures, functional processes, machinery, or equipment.

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices, and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment before, during, and after executing jobs in line with established hygiene and housekeeping standards.

• Collect technical data from the field as required and provide inputs to prepare section progress reports for company management.
• Provide input for the preparation of method statements and initiate near‑miss reports.
