Role ProfileElectrical Engineer
This is a greenfield CCGT project to be constructed with a net power capacity of 2400 MW, together with its ancillary equipment, associated infrastructure and facilities. The Project comprises the Plant and associated Electrical Special Facilities (ESF). The Plant will be located inland at a site situated approximately 50 km north-east of the City of Abu Dhabi.
This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in the full lifecycle of the project, from design and engineering to construction and operation, all within a dynamic and innovative environment. This project promises stability and long-term impact.

OverviewThe Electrical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing various electrical engineering aspects of energy and water projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.
Your Job Functions (Duties & Responsibilities)Project Planning
- Collaborate with project teams to develop and review electrical engineering project plans
- Ensure alignment of electrical engineering activities with project objectives and timelines
- Review the designs documents prepared by EPC contractor and provide comments. Attend design review meetings
- Review the special studies performed by third party and provide comment
- Assist in selection of appropriate electrical equipment and materials based on project requirements
- Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality and cost-effective components
- Oversee electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards
- Collaborate with construction teams to address and resolve on-site engineering issues
- Implement and maintain quality control measures for electrical engineering components
- Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with industry standards
- Collaborate with project managers and cost engineers to develop and manage electrical engineering budgets
- Monitor and control costs to ensure projects stay within budget constraints
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of electrical engineering activities
- Prepare regular progress reports and documentation for project management
- Act as a liaison between the electrical engineering team and other project stakeholders
- Provide regular updates to senior management on electrical engineering progress and challenges
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field
- 5 - 7 years Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer, in power generation (CCGT) or EPC projects
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is desirable
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, and standards
- Excellent project management and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
