As a 3D modeler, you make a difference by transforming your passion for infrastructure and dredging projects into high‑quality 3D models and detailed but pragmatically made 3D designs, continuously growing and taking on challenges in your field, in order to contribute valuable insights to projects within Boskalis. You understand that project‑based work requires a balance between speed and accuracy; what you model will be constructed outside very soon.

As a 3D modeler you work in the Hydronamic engineering department. Hydronamic has a team of around 80 people in different design disciplines, working from the main office in Papendrecht, on projects and from our new offices in Abu Dhabi. Hydronamic is responsible for the construction designs in tenders and acquired projects within the Dredging division of Boskalis, often with an integral and multidisciplinary character.

We have an opportunity within the same team for senior, medior and junior levels.

• Develop 3D designs, review 3D models, and create models using software and other tools, methods, and techniques. Coordinate these models to optimally facilitate the implementation of the geometrical designs.
• Review drawing specifications and reference designs, gather all necessary information, and determine what needs to be modeled in each construction phase.
• Identify interfaces, risks, and opportunities in the project model, and assist with coordination.
• Advise and support design and project teams on technical aspects and inquiries, and create animations to provide insight into processes and constructions.
• We will guide and coach you to work in our development toolchain and the Boskalis business to help you get started quickly.

• Degree level in Civil Engineering, Survey, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 3 years of work experience.
• Knowledge of modeling software Civil3D in combination with Sub Assembly Composer and Navisworks.
• Knowledge of CAD‑BIM standards, regulations, and guidelines.
• Proficient in the English language.
