Job Role :
To lead and manage all electrical engineering activities for the IA / PA Upgrade Project across multiple USSC platforms. This includes power distribution design, LV switchboard / MCC modifications, motor feeder integration, interface management, and ensuring safe and compliant electrical systems.
The engineer will work closely with the Engineering Subcontractor, OEMs, Vendors, ADNOC Offshore Engineering & Operations , and support site execution when needed.
Key Responsibilities (Project-Specific) Electrical Design & Power Integration- Develop and review SLDs, load lists, cable sizing, earthing, lighting, tray routing.
- Design and modify 415V switchboards / MCCs at CSP-1, NGTP, and TAE.
- Replace old feeders and add new motor feeders for compressors, dryers, and auxiliary systems.
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore Electrical Design Guidelines
- Ensure proper electrical supply and motor starting methods (DOL / VSD / Soft Starter).
- Define protection settings, interlocks, alarms, and shutdown logic.
- Coordinate closely with Process & Control teams for duty / standby logic.
- Validate vendor power requirements and control interface with DCS / ESD.
- Review and approve all electrical deliverables.
- Provide ADNOC Offshore standards and guidance to subcontractor.
- Track engineering progress and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure Section SOW deliverables are completed on time.
- Compressor Package OEM (e.g. Atlas Copco)
- Dryer / Receiver OEMs
- MCC / Switchgear OEM
- Control System OEMs (ABB DCS, Rockwell ESD, GE Fanuc / Emerson F&G, PMS / ECMS)
- Review datasheets, GA drawings, and power requirements.
- Validate interface wiring diagrams, control logic, and interlocks.
- Participate in FAT / SAT and vendor technical meetings.
- Coordinate vendor support during installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate with other EPC projects (LTDP-1, Load Migration, Control Upgrades).
- Align with ADNOC Offshore Operations for shutdown and tie-in planning.
- Manage electrical interfaces with DCS / ESD / F&G / PMS / ECMS.
- Maintain and update Interface Register / OMI Register.
Review / perform :
- Load flow analysis
- Short circuit calculations
- Motor starting studies
- Protection coordination
- Relay setting validation
- Ensure compliance with ADNOC Offshore electrical safety rules and IEC / NEC standards.
- Provide electrical support during cable pulling, termination, panel modifications.
- Review method statements, PTW, isolation plans.
- Support pre-commissioning and commissioning of electrical systems and compressors.
- Troubleshoot site issues and coordinate with ADNOC Offshore operations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- ADNOC Offshore approval or eligibility.
- 15years or more in electrical engineering for EPC Oil & Gas projects.
- Minimum 5 years in ADNOC Offshore projects .
- Strong experience in :
- 415V LV power distribution & MCCs
- Motor feeders & protection systems
- Switchboard modifications in live facilities
- Compressor / utility package integration
- Proven track record working with OEMs, vendors, and engineering subcontractors .
- ABB DCS (800xA)
- Rockwell Automation ESD
- GE Fanuc / Emerson F&G systems
- PMS (Power Management System)
- ECMS (Electrical Control & Monitoring System)
- PLC / SCADA-based compressor control panels (e.g., Atlas Copco UCP)
- ETAP / SKM – Load Flow, Short Circuit, Motor Starting, Protection Coordination
- Relay protection setting tools (SEL, ABB, Schneider, GE, etc.)
- AutoCAD / Micro Station / EPLAN (electrical drawings)
- Cable sizing & voltage drop calculation tools
- ADNOC PMS / ECMS submission platforms
- MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- MS Project / Primavera (schedule understanding)
- Basic SAP / Maximo awareness (asset handover)
- Detail-oriented and technically strong
- Proactive and accountable
- Confident communicator (with ADNOC & OEMs)
- Team player with leadership mindset
- Calm under pressure and deadline-driven
