Responsibilities- Installation, testing & commissioning of electrical power system equipment such as switchgears, power & distribution transformers, protection relays, control & protection panels etc. in power plants and substations (utilities, oil & gas and industrial markets).
- Conducting testing & commissioning of MV/LV switchgears, power & distribution transformers, current transformers, voltage transformers, and various protection relays.
- Fault troubleshooting and analysis for switchgears, power & distribution transformers, protection relays/systems.
- Preparing method statements and drafting NCR/incident/RCA reports.
- Supporting engineering manager and project manager with site planning and execution topics.
- Training operating personnel at site for commissioned electrical equipment.
- Following HSE principles and guidelines; showing responsibility at site by adhering to the HSE of the main contractor.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (local or international).
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience in the Oil & Gas industry with installation, testing & commissioning of MV/LV switchgears, power & distribution transformers, current & voltage transformers, and protection relays.
- In‑depth knowledge of protection relay testing (overcurrent, earth fault, differential, distance, under‑frequency, LIBBP/HIBBP) in utility and O&G sectors.
- Experience with relays from different manufacturers.
- Open to travel within the Middle East region.
- Result‑driven team player with good written and spoken English communication skills.
- Willow to train and work in a team environment.
- Availability for 2–3 days of mobile working per week.
