Quantity Surveyor (Drainage & water network)

The Quantity Surveyor will work on projects involving stormwater & drainage, flood alleviation, wastewater networks, water distribution networks and pumping station recycling plant. The role will include investigations, planning, design, tendering, contract administration, construction supervision and monitoring.

Location:

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

• Prepare and manage cost planning, quantity take‑offs and bills of quantities for estimating, tender and contract document production.
• Produce reports and evaluate/negotiated claims, including variations and new rates.
• Assist the Resident Engineer on commercial matters and prepare/submit interim payment applications to maximize cashflow.
• Coordinate to ensure contractual requirements are complied with and subcontract final accounts agreed.
• Conduct field inspections under the supervision of the Technical Lead and Client Engineer representatives.
• Work with engineers to solve design problems and perform basic design calculations.
• Liaise with remote teams worldwide to facilitate task and project completion.
• Maintain accurate measurement, identification and measurement of variations; produce and agree final accounts and additional cost claims.
• Deliver client service management: internal and external client liaison, build and maintain lasting relationships.
• Follow safe work practices, comply with company guidelines and policies, and work in line with Stantec Core Values and Quality Systems.
• Other duties as requested by the Resident Engineer.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying and at least 10 years of experience in drainage and water network projects.
