As a Senior Energy Storage Consultant, you will be a technical expert with consulting background in utility‑scale battery energy storage systems (BESS) working on the delivery of advisory and owner’s engineering services for utility‑scale BESS projects for lenders, investors, developers and asset owners. You will work on in‑front and behind the meter projects, for standalone and co‑located systems, supporting the region’s vision for sustainable energy.

We seek high‑achieving Principal Hybrid Power Consultants with a passion for renewable energy and a desire to help push the industry forward. Ideal candidates should:

• Have 7-10 years of previous work experience in the BESS industry in a consultancy, developer, investor or utility
• Expertise in writing clear, cohesive reports
• Enjoy collaborating across multi‑disciplinary teams
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives within Wood

• Be a subject matter expert within your field, leveraging industry connections and expertise to support business development efforts to secure pipeline
• Lead BESS projects, providing engineering inputs from initial assessment, through to technical and economic feasibility, development phase, technical due diligence, design optimisation, financing, construction monitoring, acceptance and operation monitoring
• Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring solutions meet project‑specific constraints and regional standards
• Prepare technical documentation: specifications, reports, proposals, and Employer’s Requirements, fire and explosion risk assessments, and pre‑fire plans
• Provide procurement and contract negotiation technical support, preparing tender documentation, and supporting the tender evaluation process
