Join Us as an HSE Engineer – SHEQ Department
Be part of Caracal Light Ammunition’s commitment to excellence and safety. As an HSE Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards — fostering a culture of safety and sustainability across all operations.
Key Accountabilities- Implement and maintain Occupational Safety, Health, and Environment (HSE) programs aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, ensuring timely corrective actions.
- Lead and support incident and accident investigations, recommending preventive measures and follow-ups.
- Ensure all safety policies, procedures, and records are up to date and effectively communicated to all employees and contractors.
- Deliver and coordinate HSE training programs to build awareness and promote safe work practices.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with HSE laws, company policies, and international standards.
- Prepare risk assessments, safety documentation, and regular HSE performance reports.
- Participate in environmental initiatives and sustainability programs to minimize operational impact.
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning, ensuring readiness and compliance.
- Foster a proactive safety culture through collaboration and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong planning, organization, and analytical skills
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork orientation
- Accountability, ethics, and attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in critical situations
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis
- Risk assessment and hazard identification expertise
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and environmental management systems
- Proficiency in MS Office and HSE-related software tools
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, or HSE Engineering (or equivalent)
- Occupational Safety & Health Diploma or NEBOSH General/International Certificate (required)
- ADVETI Certified OSH Practitioner (preferred)
- Additional certifications (HSE Auditor, First Aid, CPR, Firefighting) are an advantage
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in HSE roles, ideally within manufacturing or defense industries
