KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for Data Center projects, including HVAC systems, cooling systems,
- piping systems, public health systems, BMS, and fire suppression systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, electrical engineers, and project managers, to
- ensure the successful integration of mechanical systems into Data Center designs.
- Manage a team of engineers to deliver projects and meet tight deadlines.
- Mentor junior engineers and familiarize them with the various design standards and industry best practices
- including company’s design guidelines.
- Perform calculations, simulations, and analysis to optimize the performance and energy efficiency of
- mechanical systems.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for mechanical systems in
- compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to assess mechanical system installations and provide technical support
- during construction and commissioning phases.
- Assist in the evaluation and selection of mechanical equipment and components for Data Center projects.
- Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Data Center mechanical design
EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field;
Master's degree is a plus. - Professional engineering license (PE) is preferred.
- 5+ years solid experience in mechanical design and engineering, specifically in Data Center projects or similar mission-critical facilities.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Solid Works) and engineering analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer principles.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
- Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a complete ability to develop and use CFD modelling tools for the early design phase
