ECG Technician

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented ECG Technician to join our client's team in Abu Dhabi. This position is within one of the UAE’s largest government-affiliated healthcare networks, recognized for its commitment to excellence in patient care and advanced diagnostic services. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing electrocardiogram (ECG) tests and other related cardiac monitoring procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating heart conditions.

Experience working with pediatric patients is highly preferred.

• Perform standard and specialized ECG tests as ordered by physicians.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and ensure their comfort.
• Attach electrodes correctly, operate ECG machines, and ensure accurate test results.
• Monitor and recognize cardiac irregularities during testing.
• Maintain ECG equipment, ensuring it is clean, calibrated, and in good working order.
• Accurately document and upload results to patient records.
• Follow infection control, safety, and quality assurance protocols.
• Assist in training other staff members in ECG procedures when required.
• Stay updated on new ECG technology and diagnostic techniques.

• Diploma or Certificate in ECG Technology, Cardiac Technology, or related field.
• Valid UAE healthcare professional license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an ECG Technician, including pediatric patient exposure.
• Strong technical knowledge of ECG procedures and cardiac anatomy.
• Proficiency in operating ECG machines and related diagnostic equipment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
