Senior Specialist Data Governance

Data Governance Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, security and compliance of our data assets as well as driving the development, implementation and promotion of data governance and quality framework and strategies. The role is responsible to establish Data Governance practice and framework covering Data Ownership, Data Assets, Data Quality and Data Lineage. Data Governance Specialist will build trust in our Data to successfully inform planning and decision‑making across the business.

Data Governance Specialist will work closely with the Head of Technology Portfolio Management & Transformation and other stakeholders to support the wider Technology strategy and respective data needs of Business functions. The role will collaborate with Data Management, Risk management, Business optimization, IT Core Teams, Analytics Team, Digital Transformation, customer experience and others to deliver high value and tangible results and assist to implement a collaborative Data Governance program involving Data owners, IT and Business staff.

• Proven track record of successfully establishing and leading data governance programs in large‑scale organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Information Management or related field.
• Master’s degree in data science, Information Management, Economics & Business Engineering, Computer Sciences, Statistics or relevant certification (e.g., CDMP, CIPP) is preferred.
• Professional certifications in data governance are highly desirable e.g., Certified Data Governance Professional (DGSP).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven experience in defining, designing, and implementing policies, standards, guidelines, tools, metrics and standards for data governance frameworks.
• Ability to influence and build consensus across business, IT and senior leadership.
• Strong affinity with and interest in new trends in AI & Data (including Data Governance and quality).
• Knowledge of relational databases, hands‑on experience with any of the following data governance tools is a strong asset:
  Collibra, Data Galaxy, Precisely, etc.
• Strong experience in data integration, ETL processes and data management platforms and tools (Snowflake, etc.).
• Knowledge of Data Ware Housing, Data Lake (Cloudera), Data Lake House, and Data Mesh architectures and techniques.

• Strong experience in Data Governance, Technology, Digital ideally in financial firms and banking.
• Experience in Data Governance, Data Architecture, Data Retention and Archiving, Data Quality Management, Metadata Management, Master Data Management, Business Intelligence.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a condensed manner to various stakeholders verbally and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills including the ability to perform under pressure and manage multiple priorities with competing demands.
