Architect – Network and Security (Core
42)
Design and implement network and security infrastructures across data centers, on‑prem, campus and public cloud environments with a focus on Azure. Lead solution proposal workshops, estimate effort, engage vendors, prepare BOQs, interact with clients and oversee deployment configurations.
Responsibilities- Design & implement data‑center networking solutions (spine & leaf fabric, ACI, Apstra, SDN like NSX‑T).
- Implement core & perimeter firewalls (Cisco, Palo‑Alto, Fortinet, Juniper) in on‑prem & Azure environments.
- Build Azure landing zones and network‑security components (native & third‑party). Provide Express Route, Virtual WAN, VPN, and Azure networking connectivity.
- Conduct security assessments, scanning of Azure resources and align with Azure Well‑Architected framework.
- Deploy Azure Security Center, Sentinel, other monitoring tools and maintain DR & business continuity plans.
- Provide IP‑telephony, email security, VPN, identity & access management, collaborative & wireless network solutions.
- Create HLD/LLD, network diagrams, installation guides, runbooks and rack‑diagrams with power/cabling plans.
- Co‑ordinate with third‑party vendors, conduct UAT and support the implementation team.
- Execute operation readiness, handover and due‑diligence for client networks.
- Work with Pre‑Sales on RFPs and solution proposals.
- Scope client requirements and manage communications.
- Identify tasks, develop schedules and collaborate with stakeholders.
- Communicate objectives, deliver on time, within budget and scope.
- Resolve risks, manage expectations and meet deadlines.
- Implementation plans, technical solution proposal document.
- High‑Level Design and Low‑Level Design documents.
- Network Implementation and Migration Plans.
- Network Ready For Use (NRFU) document.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- AZ‑500 Azure Security Engineer (Preferred); AZ‑700 Azure Networking (Preferred).
- AZ‑305 Azure Infrastructure Solution Architect (Must).
- CCIE or Cisco routing/switching/security (Preferred).
- CCNP Collaboration (Preferred).
- PCNSE or Fortinet NSE (Must).
- VMware VCIX‑NV (Preferred).
- Azure Solutions Architect (Preferred).
- F5 LTM/GTM or equivalent (Preferred).
- ITIL Foundation (Confirmed).
- 13+ years in Network Security, 2+ years as an Architect.
- Design and implement Azure landing zones and security environment.
- Security hardening & best practices expertise.
- Experience with SDN (NSX, ACI), data‑center IP‑fabric and EVPN‑VxLAN.
- Documentation skills: HLD, LLD, network diagrams.
- IP‑telephony solution experience.
- Juniper/Cisco networking, firewalling products.
- Wireless networking implementation.
- Power Shell, Azure CLI, Terraform, ARM templates.
- Hybrid cloud architecture & connectivity solutions.
- Compliance: HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, ISO 27001.
- Terraform & Ansible automation.
- Docker, Kubernetes containerization.
- Python or other scripting for automation.
- CI/CD pipelines & Dev Ops practices.
- CISSP, CCSP or similar security certifications.
