Job DescriptionAct as the Senior Buyer for IT procurement, managing the end‑to‑end lifecycle for the Information Technology Department. The role involves vendor management, contract drafting, SAP Ariba utilisation, and continuous process improvement to achieve cost savings.
Key Responsibilities- Receive RFQs/RFPs from IT requesters and solicit proposals from vendors.
- Negotiate terms and conditions and prepare procurement plans with end users.
- Create and issue purchase orders; coordinate execution and delivery.
- Act as the liaison between IT and VMCP for vendor registration and account updates.
- Initiate SPM for all engagements and close open POs.
- Support vendors with pending payments by coordinating with requesters and finance.
- Maintain and utilise SAP Ariba modules (RFP, Contract Workspace, Reverse Auction).
- Ensure proper vendor communication and adhere to VMCP P&P and audit requirements.
- Provide SME input in meetings and procurement process enhancements.
- Assist other internal customers and categories as required.
- Extensive experience in IT procurement.
- Strong negotiation, vendor management, and contract negotiation skills.
- Proficiency with SAP Ariba and related procurement tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Financial acumen and contract approval management experience.
- CIPS qualification or active CIPS membership.
- Banking industry procurement experience.
