Translator Job Abu Dhabi area,UAE/Dubai,Language/Bilingual

To convert written material from English to Arabic and vice versa, ensuring that the translated version is as clear and accurate as the source language text. Responsibilities include researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation, proof reading and editing final translated versions. Review of translation and quality assurance of final edits.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in English preferably in Translation and/or Interpreting or equivalent from an accredited University.
Masters Degree in Translation and/or Interpreting is desired.
Formal English Language Certification.

EXPERIENCE

Above 5 years’ experience in translation services from Arabic to English and English to Arabic preferably in the military/ defense industry.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Arabic as the Native Language and fluency in English is required .

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Delivery of translation services to support business requirements including contract preparation, amendment, summaries, memorandums and forms either electronically or as hard copy.

Translates and edits professional materials from English into Arabic and vice versa.

Translation of random certificates, licenses and applications as required.

Documentation and file management of translations.

Provides a grammatical, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document, proofread and edits final translated versions.

Researches specialized terminology for conversion into English assuring proper conversion of meaning and concept.

Reads through original material and rewriting it in Arabic language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained;

Uses specialist dictionaries, thesauruses, glossaries and reference books to find the closest equivalents for terminology and words used;

Uses the internet and email as research tools throughout the translation process;

Establishes individual and collective work plans including objectives, timelines and milestone reviews for translation tasks.

Ensure that all products are of the highest possible quality consistent with time available and resources and delivered on time.

Prepare internal and external correspondences.

Perform other responsibilities as directed by senior management team.
