- Oversee the entire material lifecycle, from procurement and receiving to storage, issuance, and final disposition, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
- Develop and implement robust inventory management strategies, utilizing advanced forecasting and demand planning techniques to anticipate project needs and prevent stockouts or overstocking.
- Lead and mentor a team of material handlers and coordinators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment while ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms, monitoring performance, and resolving any discrepancies or issues promptly.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in material coordination, inventory management, or logistics, with a proven track record of success.
Professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or CSCP are highly desirable.
Extensive experience in industries like Oil & Gas, Construction, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals, where complex material flows are common.
Maintain an accurate inventory of all stock, materials, and equipment.
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly.
Ensure stock levels are maintained to meet operational requirements.
Receive and inspect incoming goods for quantity, quality, and compliance with specifications.
Record all received goods in inventory systems.
Issue materials or goods based on authorised requests and maintain proper documentation.
Ensure accurate tracking of all dispatched items.
Organize goods in a manner that ensures easy access and prevents damage.
Implement proper labelling, tagging, and tracking systems.
Maintain records of stock movement, receipts, and deliveries.
Prepare periodic inventory and stock status reports.
Ensure that storage practices comply with company policies and safety regulations.
Monitor the conditions of the storage facility and address issues like pests, leaks, or temperature control.
Collaborate with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely supply chain operations.
Liaise with vendors or suppliers regarding inventory discrepancies or returns.
Identify and suggest opportunities to enhance inventory management processes and reduce waste.
