To assemble, dismantle; lubricate mechanical equipment, systems, static and rotating components. To carry out preventive and routine maintenance in order to minimise disruption to the business activities.

• Implement and follow compliance of the company’s Safety Management Plan and Environment standards.
• Provides maintenance work on mechanical, hydraulic & pneumatic equipment and systems in the area of responsibility or as directed by the division supervisor.
• Perform checks and adjustments on any mechanical equipment when necessary or as directed by the supervisor, in compliance with EMAL safety standards.
• Carry out day / shift duties within a team of Technicians / Craftsmen / Contractors along with on-the-job training for new Craftsmen as agreed by Supervisor.
• Strip down mechanical equipment efficiently and identify & report any abnormalities. Repair and / or replace items required and re-assemble the equipment, leaving the work area clean.
• Perform all the PM’s, running allocated inspections & checklists on a daily basis as per maintenance planning requirements.
• Attend all equipment breakdowns and planned maintenance work with minimum direction and supervision within the time constraint given to reduce production downtime.
• Ensure that all preventive maintenance works are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and plant operational requirements.
• Initiate replacement of worn out or failed components / parts adhering to safety regulations.
• Fulfil work in accordance with the Company's Operating Safety Regulations and plant operating requirements.
• Provide guidance and expertise to other divisions when required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ITI/Trade certificate in fitting or equivalent engineering discipline.

2 to 4 years’ experience in a process industry.

Maintenance of heavy machinery or general fitting skills in an engineering industry.

Skills:

• Ability to read and understand basic drawings, service manuals and job content instructions.
• Maintenance/lubrication on various equipment.
