Production/Factory Manager | Royal Wood Factory
Royal Joinery has its own dedicated factory to assist clients on high‑profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source sub‑contractors and third‑party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated, qualified experts and innovative techniques and equipment.
Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the entire production process within the joinery, wood factory, and fit‑out.
- Plan and coordinate production activities to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery of wood products.
- Optimize operational efficiency, resource allocation, and team management.
- Develop production plans and schedules to meet customer orders and project deadlines.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of production processes.
- Allocate manpower, machinery, and equipment efficiently to maximize output.
- Ensure products meet quality standards through quality control processes and inspections.
- Monitor production costs, identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement efficient methods.
- Lead, train, and motivate production teams to achieve targets and maintain a positive environment.
- Implement continuous process improvements for productivity and streamlined operations.
- Enforce health and safety protocols and regulations.
- Oversee inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.
- Generate production reports, performance metrics, and data for management review.
- Plan and execute production activities, considering customer orders and project specifications.
- Champion safety guidelines and regulations within the production area.
- Provide guidance and supervision to production teams.
- Collaborate with the design team to evaluate design feasibility.
- Monitor and manage production processes for accuracy and efficiency.
- Implement rigorous quality control measures to uphold product quality.
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Address production‑related challenges and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Optimize resource allocation to meet production targets effectively.
- Experience in a joinery company is required.
- At least 5 years in a similar role, preferably.
- Experience providing leadership, guidance, and direction to production supervisors and teams.
- Set performance expectations, conduct evaluations and provide coaching.
- Foster a collaborative and high‑performance work culture.
- A degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Expertise in woodworking machinery, equipment, and tools.
- Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is advantageous.
- Proficiency in CAD software for design evaluation and production planning.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
