Senior Technician - Mechanical Shift

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technician to join our team in the RM 5 Mechanical Shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our rolling mill and maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

• Operate and maintain the rolling mill equipment, including but not limited to, reheating furnace, rolling stands, cooling bed, and finishing equipment
• Monitor and control the production process to ensure quality standards are met
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues that may arise during production
• Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Collaborate with other team members to identify and implement process improvements
• Train and mentor junior technicians on equipment operation and maintenance
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment
• Keep accurate records of production and maintenance activities

• High school diploma or equivalent, technical degree preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a steel company, specifically in a bar and wire rod mill rolling mill
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Experience operating and maintaining rolling mill equipment
• Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
