Overview

Perform engines maintenance and repair tasks under close supervision as instructed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with applicable standards, and regulations.

  • Follow the day‑to‑day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
  • Perform basic tasks related to inspection, troubleshooting, servicing and maintaining engine components.
  • Perform tasks related to Inspection, maintenance, modification, testing, and repairing jet engines and small gas turbine engines.
  • Assemble and disassemble engine parts, prior to and post maintenance according to the standard procedures and report any malfunction to supervisor.
  • Check components for clearances, tolerances, proper installation, and operation.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain assigned components, parts and cables.
  • Perform tasks related to calibrating installed or repaired equipment to prescribed specifications.
  • Perform tasks related to maintaining arresting gear and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and control systems involved primarily in aircraft carrier take‑off and landing operations to ensure they are working appropriately.
  • Perform tasks related to activating airfield arresting systems, such as crash barriers and cables, during emergency landing situations according to procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining logs of airplane launches, recoveries, and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform tasks related to identifying maintenance and troubleshooting requirements for aircraft parts such as flight control and hydraulics components aircraft recovery.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
  • Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
