Position Operator Technician Float Bath Lehr amp Solar Cool

Employment Full-Time Permanent

Joining Immediate

• Conduct regular field and visual inspections and complete required operational check sheets
• Monitor and maintain required process parameters for Tin Bath Lehr and Solar Cool coating operations
• Perform required operational adjustments as instructed by the responsible Engineer Supervisor
• Immediately report any process deviations equipment abnormalities or safety concerns
• Perform specialized operational activities related to the SO Room Tin Bath Lehr and Solar Cool systems
• Manually measure Annealing Lehr temperatures to cross-check and verify online indicators
• Monitor glass surface quality and support preventive and corrective actions to minimize defects
• Prepare and maintain consumption records for SO Tin Bath consumables and Solar Cool raw materials
• Record operating and measured parameters accurately for further analysis and process improvement
• Monitor and update stocks of consumables spare parts and Personal Protective Equipment PPE
• Prepare tools and support the execution of Tin Bath Lehr and Solar Cool maintenance and operational activities
• Transfer load and prepare slurry batches for Solar Cool and Vista Cool coating operations
• Coordinate the collection of required materials from stores
• Maintain proper housekeeping and safe working conditions within the assigned area
• Follow all applicable safe work practices IMS requirements and EHS policies and procedures

• Education:
  
  Engineering Diploma / College Level qualification in a relevant technical or engineering discipline
• Experience:
  
  Minimum 2 years of experience in a process industry , preferably within glass manufacturing.
• Good technical understanding of industrial/process operations and equipment
• Mechanically inclined with good technical and coordination skills
• Strong observation skills , attention to process parameters, and ability to identify abnormalities or deviations
• Ability to support equipment adjustments, troubleshooting, maintenance, and operational activities
• Good understanding of workplace safety and safe operating practices
• Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with Operations, QA, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments as required
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must be physically fit and comfortable working in a plant/shop-floor and shift environment
