The purpose of this role is to support the development and maintenance of strong relationships between Abu Dhabi University (ADU) and its internal and external stakeholders, including ADU departments, community organizations, corporate partners, and government entities. The role aims to enhance ADU’s presence and engagement within the wider community through strategic outreach, partnerships, and initiatives that align with the university’s mission and values, focusing mainly on campaigns and other innovative initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesCommunity Engagement & Partnerships
- Establish and nurture relationships with the guidance of the Associate Director with key community organizations, corporate sponsors, and government agencies.
- Identify opportunities for collaboration with external entities to enhance ADU’s role in community development.
- Coordinate between the CRD team members/internal stakeholders and ensure utmost engagement with our external stakeholders.
- Support in drafting MoUs/Agreements for external stakeholders (both government and corporate entities).
- Ensure effective and proactive communication and coordination with internal/external stakeholders promptly on next steps and action items.
- Coordinate and attend meetings with CRD team members/Associate Director, take minutes of the meeting, draft follow‑up emails/letters/proposals, and any next action plans.
- Support in identifying new external partners, by researching the mutual benefits and targeting the key partners that will benefit ADU with the guidance of the Associate Director. Work on the list continuously, and target exhibitions that can lead to new connections with externals.
- Coordinate and support in annual campaigns by building new external relationships and expanding the collaborations.
- Develop new initiatives in enhancing the relationships between our internal/external stakeholders and that can promote ADU’s social & financial impact.
- Provide weekly reporting on engagements and coordination actions with external/internal stakeholders. Set priorities always.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that align with ADU’s mission.
Event Coordination & Representation
- Organize and coordinate community outreach events, workshops, and initiatives.
- Represent ADU at external events to strengthen partnerships and visibility.
- Support in planning and executing large‑scale community programs such as R&D workshops, development projects, and other unique initiatives.
- Support fundraising events/activities from external stakeholders and prepare pre‑ and post‑event reports with coordination of event owners and marketing teams.
Communication & Public Relations
- Act as a liaison between ADU and community stakeholders to facilitate clear and effective communication.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentations on community engagement outcomes and for external stakeholders meetings.
- Coordinate between departments to ensure that events/MoU ceremonies, logistics, hospitality, PR, photography, videography, and sponsors’ benefits are secured from other departments.
- 2 years of experience in community relations, events management, public relations, corporate social responsibility, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, business administration, or a related field.
- Experience in building partnerships with external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to organize and manage events/CSR initiatives/fundraising activities.
- Familiarity with corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and volunteer program coordination.
- English is required;
Arabic is preferred. - Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams and social media platforms.
