Primary Responsibilities- Prepare a variety of traditional Indian sweets such as Gulab Jamun, Jalebi, Barfi, Ladoo, and Kheer, ensuring authenticity and quality.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to innovate and enhance the dessert menu.
- Source and select high‑quality ingredients, ensuring freshness and authenticity in preparation.
- Maintain inventory of ingredients specific to Indian sweets and order supplies as needed.
- Ensure that all desserts are prepared according to established recipes and standards for taste, presentation, and portion size.
- Conduct regular quality checks on finished products and make adjustments as necessary.
- Work closely with other kitchen staff, including chefs and pastry teams, to ensure smooth operations and timely service.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff on the preparation of Indian sweets.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures for all ingredients.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop and update the dessert menu, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
- Participate in special events and promotions that highlight Indian sweets.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences and provide recommendations on Indian desserts.
- Gather feedback to continuously improve the dessert offerings.
- Assist the Chef de Partie in ensuring that all culinary standards in that section comply with Hotel Policies and Procedures and Minimum Standards.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments.
- Continuous learning through own IDP.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the superior.

- Ensure confidentiality and secure storage of all intellectual property and data bases, both hard copy and electronic. Adhere to Dust Internet and E‑mail policy. Ensure Hotel, Customer and Staff information or transactions are kept confidential during or after employment with the company.
- At least 2 years of Demi Chef de Partie or Commis I experience in a 5‑star hotel.
- Have a strong working knowledge of western and other Asian Cuisine.
- Strong understanding of HACCP, displays a high level of food and personal hygiene.
- Demonstrates real passion for menu planning and leadership.
