AWS Infrastructure Physical Security Team is looking for a Data Center Security Specialist with experience working in critical infrastructure installations. The role requires a UAE national with a family book.

• Help lead daily operational security as part of a security operations team across multiple facilities
• Drive security awareness campaigns aimed at enhancing security vigilance and effectiveness
• Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction development of performance metrics
• Lead security investigations across campus facilities
• Oversee physical security vendors that provide guards, electronic security systems, door construction/repair, fencing, and access controls
• Distill overarching security strategy into daily tactics to reach management goals
• Oversee security construction projects
• Provide security awareness training to data center personnel
• As this is a Gov Cloud region, the selected candidate requires US Citizenship or equivalent status
• May be tasked with working different work shifts consisting of Day, Mid or Evening/Overnight shifts

• Experience overseeing security operations
• Project management experience
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools
• Experience working with security vendors and contractors, creating process improvement procedures

• Associate’s degree or higher and/or equivalent professional experience in corporate or government security environment
• 2+ years of experience with excellent verbal and written communications skills in a professional work setting, experience writing detailed reports, overseeing security vendors that provide guards and electronic security systems
• 2+ years of experience creating and implementing emergency planning programs, physical security countermeasures, root‑cause analysis experience, familiarity with security program automation and implementation, familiarity with various access/intrusion control systems, ability to interpret program objectives, develop project schedules and manage adherence to established timetables, ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non‑technical individuals regarding physical security standards and system designs
