We are seeking a professional and reliable Driver - Light Vehicle to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a key member of our transportation department, you will be responsible for safely operating light vehicles to transport personnel, goods, or documents to various locations throughout the city and surrounding areas.
- Operate light vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all local traffic laws and regulations
- Transport personnel, goods, or documents to designated locations in a timely manner
- Plan optimal routes using maps, GPS navigation, and knowledge of local road networks
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the appropriate department
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and any incidents or delays
- Assist with loading and unloading of items when necessary
- Provide excellent customer service to passengers and clients
- Ensure the cleanliness and presentability of the vehicle at all times
- Adapt to changes in schedules or routes as needed
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and clients
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent knowledge of Abu Dhabi's road network and traffic regulations
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities
- Proficiency in reading maps and using GPS navigation systems
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge
- Physical fitness to handle potential loading/unloading tasks
- Defensive driving certification (preferred)
- Previous experience as a light vehicle driver (preferred)
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and caution
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
