About the job Site Activities Coordinator
The Site Activity Coordinator is responsible for implementing and verifying safe systems of work on the railway alignment. This includes coordinating with the NOCC Train Controller or Possession Supervisor to manage track possessions, worksites, and contractor access, ensuring a safe work environment for personnel and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities Contractor Access Management- Manage and supervise contractor access to the railway corridor.
- Conduct safety briefings, ensuring compliance with Safe Systems of Work (SSOW).
- Verify workers' competence and ensure emergency arrangements are understood.
- Liaise with NOCC or Possession Supervisor to establish and manage SSOW.
- Ensure clear tracks post-work and hand over possessions/permits within time.
- Supervise multidisciplinary technical teams on-site.
- Evaluate access applications to identify and mitigate rail hazards.
- Inspect and verify adherence to safety protocols and stop unsafe activities.
- Report field activities and ensure compliance with Etihad Rail standards.
- Certificate/Diploma in Safety or Rail Operations.
- Valid full driving license.
- Background in railway operations with knowledge of possession and permit-to-work systems.
- Experience managing contractors and coordinating field teams.
- Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic, Urdu, or Hindi is advantageous.
- Strong communication, adaptability, and cultural awareness.
- Ability to work in harsh environments, including desert locations, and during night shifts.
