CYLINDRICAL Grinder Shipley Rotating Shifts PERMANENT SALARY OF £ 48,459.11 Our client, a large engineering business based in Shipley, have an urgent requirement to recruit 3well versed Cylindrical Grinders to theirteam. Duties To complete pre use machine inspections, to record results and report any hazards or faults. To complete asset care tasks in line with maintenance schedule. To monitor metal cutting fluids to ensure correct tank levels and percentage concentration are maintained.

Highlighting any concerns with environmental team and team leader. Maintain and clean tanks in line with service schedule. To make full use of the working day completing in-cycle tasks where cycle times permit, to include the running of additional machines or conducting additional manual operations. To set and operate cylindrical grinding machines in line with standard operating procedures and setup sheets.

The production and inspection of parts in line with drawing specification and quality standards. To include the deburring and part marking of components. To achieve required machine efficiency targets Data capture, the use of manual and computer systems to book and record material movements, recording of process times, downtime, part quantities, and other information to assist in the control and development of the department.

Adherence to production plan. Ideal grinder candidates will be able to demonstrate a strong track record in a similar role and be an apprentice trained engineer (NVQ level 3 or equivalent ). These are permanent positions for qualified grinders where you will be expected to work the following rotating shifts:
Week 1 6am to 2pm Week 2 2pm to 10pm ( 10:30pm finish on a Friday) Week 3 10pm to 6am ( but only 4 nights, no work Friday ) This equates to 37.5 hours per week. In return the successful grinder can expect a base salary of £34,717.80 plus a very healthy shift allowance of 39.58% giving a final salary of £48,459.11 This vacancy is being advertised by AMF Recruitment Ltd, a specialist recruitment business supporting the manufacturing industry.
