Environmentalist (Environmental Specialist Level II)
Join the team at Worley, a global professional services company focused on sustainable energy solutions.
Primary Objective- Coordination of specified tasks within the environmental engineering discipline.
- Responsible for the progress and quality of assigned tasks within the environment area, including the supervision of engineers and graduates.
- Ensure all work conforms with agreed codes and practices, meets all requirements of the contract’s specification, and is completed within schedules, budgets, and procedures.
- Provide innovative and cost‑effective solutions to clients for operating problems and capacity constraints in their existing oil and gas and petrochemical operations.
- Manage, technically execute, and complete engineering assigned tasks in a specific Environment discipline area.
- Assist project engineers in the coordination and preparation of input into contract documents, including design criteria, scope of work, procedures, and design approach.
- Liaison and coordinate with other engineers and discipline groups to produce timely deliverables.
- Manage studies and environment‑oriented projects as assigned.
- Develop and improve company standards and environmental design methods.
- Produce technical reports and operating manuals.
- Train and mentor new Environment engineering graduates toward professional membership.
- Ensure quality assurance in line with the Oil and Gas Business Unit’s QA system.
- Maintain personal safety and follow OH&S procedures.
- Self‑motivated, proactive, and a strong team player.
- Recognized subject‑matter specialist for resolving issues across all areas of the role, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly.
- Commit to work integrity, ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Passionate about mentoring less experienced staff and developing training programs for local Kuwaiti personnel.
- Engineering degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent diploma from an accredited institution (contractual requirement).
- Experience working on PMC projects within the oil & gas or petrochemical industries.
- Proficiency with advanced engineering tools, data systems, and general office/engineering software.
- Effective interpersonal skills, communicating fluently in both verbal and written forms across diverse cultures.
- Broad knowledge of process engineering throughout the project life cycle—from FEED to commissioning—in oil & gas or related industries.
- Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring ability.
- Strong time‑management and planning skills, able to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to engage with clients as required by business needs and leadership.
