Designs and implements the plans to complete, services, and workover wells, ensuring the technical aspects are optimized for safety, efficiency, and environmental protection. Works closely with Field Development to select the best operational methods and equipment, based on the geological conditions and the project's objectives.
- Monitors rig activity and performance vs. plan, as rig selection to optimize schedule.
- Oversees the workover, services, or completions program, which includes determining formation stimulation, pump placement, formation isolation, completion equipment, and any materials required for the workover, service, or completions program required for that well. It involves detailed engineering analysis to ensure the well objectives are met efficiently and safely.
- Prepares cost estimates and manages the budget for the workover, services, or completion program. This involves forecasting the costs of labor, materials, equipment, and services required for the workover, service, or completion operations and monitoring expenses to keep the project within budget.
Experience in drilling and completion planning and execution operations. Capable of maturing a well with little or no guidance by working with other functional teams in WJO. Demonstrated knowledge in workover, services, or completions operations including well design, equipment utilization, and operations planning. Previous experience with H2S environments, factory operations, and/or Heavy Oil are all pluses.
AcademicBachelor's degree in petroleum engineering or field.
Experience14 years of related experience in Drilling and Completions Engineering.
Language skillsVery good spoken and written English.
