Description
Propak Systems Ltd., an established leader in engineering, fabrication and construction of gas compression, processing and Heavy Oil facilities, is currently seeking Sub Arc Welders to join our fabrication shops in Airdrie, AB.

Key Responsibilities
Carries out mild and/or stainless-steel welding requirements for jobs, observing specific guidelines and procedures for weldingOperates and sets up production welding equipment inclusive of cutting, gouging, and grinding materialsReads and interprets blueprints or welding process specificationsOperates manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes such as gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW), gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), plasma arc welding (PAW), shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), oxy-acetylene welding (OAW), resistance welding, and submerged arc welding (SAW)Operates manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipmentRemoves metal and/or prepares materials for welding by gouging and grindingEnsures all welding equipment is clean and functionalAssists with the maintenance and repair of welding equipmentAdjusts welding heads and tooling according to work specificationsQualifications
ABSA Machine operator certificateGrade C Pressure Welder Certificate of CompetencyValid Performance Qualification issued by the jurisdiction2+ years of directly related work experienceThis position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprenticesAs a condition of employment, employees are required upon hire to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention AgreementPropak Systems Ltd. thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
