Propak Systems Ltd. is an established leader in engineering, fabrication, and construction of gas compression and processing facilities for the energy industry. We are currently seeking Journeyman
Sheet Metal Fabricators to join our Fabrication Shops in Airdrie, AB.
We offer day, evening and weekend shifts with excellent premiums for evening and weekend day shifts. Key Responsibilities:
Read engineering and architectural drawings, sketches and work specifications to be performed, and lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates.Operate light metal working machines such as shears, brakes, and drill presses.Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment.Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment to fabricate products such as ventilation shafts, exhaust hoods, eaves-troughs, partition frames, air and heat ducts, material handling systems, roof decking and sheet metal buildings.Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes.Inspect product quality and installation to ensure conformance to specifications.Qualifications:
Hold a valid recognized Alberta Journeyperson Trade Certificate or a recognized trade certificate or equivalency document.Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certificate is preferred.3-4 years of directly related work experience.As a condition of employment, employees are required, upon hire, to sign a Drug-Free Workplace Agreement, a Conflict of Interest Agreement and Confidentiality and Invention Agreement.This position may be required to direct, coach, and mentor apprentices.Propak Systems Ltd. thanks all applicants for their interest however only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
