The Role
- To lead, develop, deliver and monitor aseptic dispensing services for base hospital.
- To lead, develop and deliver clinical pharmacy services to a specified patient population.

Whatwe’ll need you to bring
- Masters of Pharmacy Degree
- Member of General Pharmaceutical Council
- Demonstrable evidence of clinical knowledge equivalent to that of a higher degree I diploma in clinical pharmacy
- Evidence of training and professional development in aseptic services
- Minimum four year post registration hospital clinical pharmacy experience
- Minimum of two years experience of working in an aseptic unit
- Clinical experience in relevant patient group
- Previous experience in delivering training and education at post‑graduate level
- Demonstrable use of clinical audit to improve practice
- Experience in staff supervision
- Experience in patient information/education
- Identifies a vision for the delivery of pharmaceutical services to required patient population
- Demonstrable commitment to CPD
- Demonstrable expert clinical knowledge and skills
- Demonstrate advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement
- Ability to influence senior pharmacy and medical staff, the multidisciplinary team and management
- Ability to identify and prioritise clinical work
- Understanding of national and local priorities
- Ability to identify and manage risks
- Ability to work autonomously, evaluate own work, self‑motivation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, in a pharmacy and multi‑disciplinary environment
- Proven project/practice research/audit skills
- Ability to integrate research into practice
- Ensures that the training needs of junior pharmacists working within their area of practice are identified and met
- Weekends and public holidays
- Participation in pharmacy emergency duty service if appropriate to post
- Willingness to contribute to the general working of the pharmacy department
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have- Experience as an Authorised Pharmacist in Aseptic Services or Production
- A deep understanding of aseptic services underpinning regulations and the necessity of a robust Pharmaceutical Quality System
- Previous experience in delivering training and education at post‑graduate level
- Demonstrate advanced level of clinical reasoning and judgement
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage resources
- Ability to undertake the duties of mentorship and education of pharmacy staff
- Ability to influence senior pharmacy medical and managerial staff and the multidisciplinary team

Location and Working PatternThis role will be based in Aseptic Pharmacy within University Hospital Monklands.
