Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and evolving Swegon North America’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring alignment with ISO 9001:2015 standards. This role requires a dynamic leader with a collaborative mindset, capable of driving cross-functional engagement and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across multiple facilities. The successful candidate will champion quality initiatives, lead internal audits, and serve as a strategic partner to operations, supply chain, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation and sustainment of company-wide quality policies, procedures, and programs in accordance with the company QMS.
  • Drive resolution of quality issues through structured root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.
  • Ensure systems and documentation meet external certification requirements and internal operational needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and maintain quality control plans for all manufacturing processes.
  • Plan, execute, and oversee internal audits, including ISO and process audits, acting as Lead Auditor when required.
  • Promote and embed a continuous improvement culture across departments and facilities.
  • Manage document control systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and other relevant standards and regulations.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing Quality Operations team, fostering accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  • Partner with supply chain teams to address and resolve supplier quality concerns.
  • Serve as a quality advocate, confidently enforcing standards and guiding teams toward compliance and excellence.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across departments and plant leadership.
  • Facilitate training and development initiatives to elevate quality awareness and capability.
  • Travel as needed to support quality operations across North American facilities.
Qualifications &

Experience:
  • Proven experience establishing ISO 9000-compliant QA systems in a multi-plant environment.
  • Post-secondary education in quality systems or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years in a quality and manufacturing role, preferably in custom fabrication or industrial manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems within a manufacturing context.
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and LEAN manufacturing principles.
