Rover Operator – Onshore Oil and Gas Facilities – Qatar
We are seeking a Rover Operator to support the safe and reliable operation of onshore oil and gas processing facilities. This role is field‑based and involves monitoring equipment performance, maintaining operating conditions within defined limits, and supporting plant operations in line with approved procedures and safety standards.
The position requires regular outdoor work in industrial environments and close coordination with control room and maintenance teams to BETWEEN ensure continuous, safe operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and monitor assigned field equipment in accordance with approved operating and safety procedures.
Maintain operational readiness through on‑the‑job training, job rotation, and adherence to standard operating practices.
Monitor, record, and log operating parameters, reporting abnormalities to the supervisor for guidance or resolution.
Prepare equipment for maintenance activities, support execution of work, and recommission equipment after completion.
Apply Permit to Work requirements during field activities and participate in Permit to Work audits.
Conduct regular site rounds, safety walks, and observations to ensure operational integrity and site safety.
Provide first-line response during emergencies or abnormal situations to minimise risk to personnel, assets, and the environment.
Ensure effective shift handover by briefing incoming operators on plant status and significant events.
Collect routine and special samples as instructed by the shift supervisor.
Perform low‑voltage electrical isolation and de‑isolation activities in line with approved procedures.
Continuous field presence across a wide operational area.
Outdoor work Holder in varying and potentially harsh weather conditions.
Physical activity including climbing, walking long distances, and operating field equipment.
