Senior Commissioning Engineer - Oil & Gas (Offshore)
Location: Offshore, Qatar (project-dependent)
Employment Type: Contract until Feb 2030
OverviewylonWe are seeking a Senior Commissioning Engineer with extensive offshore oil and gas experience to lead commissioning activities for multi-discipline projects. This role involves managing pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and start‑up processes, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and client regulations.
Key Responsibilities- गणःLead and represent the commissioning team for assigned offshore projects
- Review and provide comments on EPIC contractor scope of work for pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and completion activities
- Develop commissioning strategies and plans, obtaining approvals in consultation with end users and contractors
- Arrange ソआ‑manpower and coordinate commissioning team activities, including on‑job training and vendor support
- Organise and oversee commissioning procedures for all systems and facilities
- Detail commissioning activities at system and subsystem level to facilitate smooth start‑Aku‑up
- Prepare and approve commissioning handover checklists and certificates; coordinate resolution of equipment or system performance issues with contractors and vendors
- Coordinate with construction, engineering, and end‑user teams to manage punch listing and close‑out activities
- Support project close‑outekgğgьng and final commissioning documentation
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and other technical reviews as required
- Contribute to safety reviews, design assessments, and multi‑discipline engineering evaluations
- B.Sc or B.E in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from a recognised university
- 10‑14 years' experience in commissioning, construction, or installation within the oil and gas sector
- Strong technical experience in commissioning of F&G Systems, DCS, ISIS, Power Management Systems, Instrument Air, Wellhead Control Systems, and similar offshore systems
- Multi‑discipline engineering exposure with strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Experience with commissioning software such as ICAPS(predicate) or similar
- Proven leadership skills in offshore commissioning projects
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities
- Strong organisational skills with ability to coordinate multi‑cultural, multi-disciplinary teams
- Willingness to work extended hours and field assignments offshore as required
