Creative Writer

A great creative hire changes how a company sees itself, and Macys is ready for that kind of shift with our incoming Creative Writer. Macys frames it as a partnership — $61,000 - $87,000 for your 3 years, ownership of creative work, and growth shared both ways.

• Seed fresh visual motifs that outlast a single $61,000 - $87,000-budget quarter
• Refine messaging and visuals using performance data and audience insight
• Sketch early concepts that give Macys campaigns a recognizable visual signature
• Map the emotional arc of a launch video, beat by beat, before a frame is shot
• Collaborate with marketing, product, and editorial teams based in Albany
• Carry layouts from napkin scribble to press-ready file without losing the spark

• Willingness to commute to Albany, OR work flexibly as needed
• Resilience measured across 5 years of creative cycles
• The judgment to distinguish a fire drill from an actual fire
• A bias toward asking the dumb question before the expensive mistake

At the heart of Macys is a community-minded belief that great creative software should feel effortless. At Macys feedback has a short half-life, delivered close to the moment it can still help.

• You will see $61,000 - $87,000 on the offer, plus a growth plan, a mentor, and benefits tuned for life beyond the Albany office.
