You will lead in a one-team culture while actively contributing to your own skills and experience. To co-ordinate the design team to deliver the required outputs for a portfolio of projects under the guidance of a design manager.

• Provide commitment to excellence in Health & Safety (H&S) in design, complying fully with the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations (CDM) and all other relevant H&S legislation.
• An in-depth knowledge of the layout and interconnectivity of typical water and wastewater treatment works processes and equipment including pumping systems.
• Strong communication skills to interact with other engineering disciplines and clients.
• Ability to produce clear and concise electrical design deliverables across all design stages of a project.
• Ability to manage design delivery and project manage.
• Leadership skills to manage and motivate individuals to consistently deliver.
• Willingness to contribute to and develop technical knowledge networks.
• A drive to be abreast of professional development and knowledge of current and emerging technical solutions.
• Flexibility to travel within the UK (including Northern Ireland) and Ireland.

• Reporting to the Design Manager.
• Part of a multi-disciplined team of engineers responsible to produce design deliverables for water, wastewater and process treatment plants.
• Assisting in all aspects of Electrical design from site surveys of existing assets, optioneering, feasibility studies, detailed design and tender pricing.
• Producing procurement specifications for Electrical equipment; cable calculations and detailed design construction drawings.
• Project managing third party designs and providing design assistance to installation and commissioning teams. Liaising with clients and subcontractors.
• Work as part of a team to support project delivery function, embracing the ethos of a ‘one team’ culture.
• Ensuring Design, Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability standards, policies and procedures are always adhered to.
• Monitoring design delivery performance and efficiency, adjusting and reacting as necessary to ensure targets are achieved and ensuring the MIDP is kept up to date.
• Producing Electrical design outputs as and when required.
• Ensuring Glan Agua’s & the Client’s Technical Requirements are met throughout the design.
• Conducting regular meetings with project delivery teams to allocate resources, monitor the plan and adjust as necessary.
• Monitoring and updating Design Change Control.
• Liaising between Mechanical and Civil & Structural Designers.
• Involved in the growth and development of the company including expansion of the direct delivery model.
• Providing robust leadership and a sounding board for supporting site teams.
• Showing an eagerness to learn and progress in own career as well as mentoring and training of junior staff.
• Other duties as required from time to time.

• Chartered or Incorporated member of the IET with extensive experience in water or wastewater, non-infrastructure, and infrastructure design.
