Roadside Technician – About the Role

Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and help keep the UK moving. You’ll start and finish your day at home, delivering expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK. Whether it’s a flat battery, tyre change or complex fault‑finding, you’ll provide quick, confident solutions and reassurance when our members need it most.

East Kilbride, Scotland (covering the UK)

• Deliver roadside mechanical repair and vehicle diagnostics.
• Provide emergency breakdown assistance and support to members.
• Maintain your own RAC van, essential tools and diagnostic kit.
• Work demand‑led shifts, averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime.

• Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent, with technical, electrical and diagnostic experience.
• Customer‑focused approach.
• No CV required – you can apply directly.
• Full UK driving licence.

• £35,000 base salary and realistic OTE £60,000. Top performers can earn significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.
