About

the Role

We are seeking a knowledgeable and client‑focused Protection Advisor to join our growing Mortgage Perspective team. This role is central to delivering expert insurance advice to clients referred through our Mortgage Advisors and Property Perspective colleagues, who generate leads from house builder partnerships and property sales.

You’ll be responsible for engaging qualified clients, understanding their protection needs, and recommending tailored insurance products that provide security and peace of mind for their home and family.

Key Responsibilities
  • Engage and manage qualified leads provided by our Mortgage Advisors and Property Perspective sales teams.
  • Conduct thorough client consultations, identifying protection needs and providing suitable insurance solutions.
  • Review clients’ income and expenditure to assess affordability and ensure recommendations are responsible and compliant.
  • Advise on a full range of insurance products, including life cover, critical illness, income protection, and family protection policies.
  • Respond to and qualify client enquiries efficiently, ensuring a professional and customer‑centric experience.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant documentation, adhering to FCA and company requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the mortgage advisory team to provide a seamless and holistic client journey.
  • Deliver exceptional service standards, ensuring all clients feel supported and confident in their protection choices.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team targets, supporting business growth and client retention.
  • Commit to continuous professional development, keeping up to date with insurer products, regulations, and industry trends.
Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience within an insurance or financial services advisory role.
  • 2+ Years experience giving whole of market advice.
  • Preferred RO5 but not essential.
  • Track record of business levels & High Persistence Rate.
  • Strong understanding of affordability and compliance requirements under FCA regulation.
  • Excellent communication and rapport‑building skills with a client‑first approach.
  • Ability to manage workloads efficiently and convert warm leads effectively.
  • Proactive, self‑motivated, and confident working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
