Join us as a Compliance Coordinator (Estates) at our Boscombe Down site, where you’ll support critical Defence operations in a highly visible, office-based role.

The Role

As a Compliance Coordinator (Estates), you’ll play a key role in ensuring estates activities remain safe, compliant and well controlled. This is a stand‑alone, office‑based coordination role with a high level of autonomy, acting as the central point of contact for estates compliance across site(s).

You’ll be responsible for overseeing, coordinating and reporting on compliance activity, working closely with delivery teams, contractors and stakeholders to identify risks early and ensure controls, inspections and actions are tracked through to completion.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Coordinating asbestos, legionella and F‑Gas compliance activities across site(s)
  • Maintaining compliance registers, risk assessments, inspection schedules and training records
  • Managing statutory inspection programmes and tracking follow‑up actions to closure
  • Producing compliance reports and escalating risks or issues where required
  • Supporting audits, PSI activity and internal and external compliance reviews
  • Identifying and driving improvements in compliance processes and reporting
Essential experience of the Compliance Coordinator (Estates)
  • Experience working in a legislation, regulation or controlled environment
  • Background in a compliance, coordination or support role within construction, property management or facilities management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage your own workload
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confidence communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Experience in a support or coordination environment, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
Desirable experience
  • Understanding of asbestos, legionella and F‑Gas management requirements
  • Working knowledge of key health and safety legislation such as PUWER and LOLER

We would also consider candidates who are currently in a hands‑on technical or site‑based role and are looking to move into a more office‑based compliance or coordination position.

Essential qualifications for the Compliance Coordinator (Estates)
  • Level 3 NVQ in engineering, technical or a similar field, or equivalent relevant experience

We value difference and we don’t have a fixed idea when it comes to background or education. If you can demonstrate the right experience, a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn, we’d love to hear from you.
