Are you an experienced Production Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment? We are seeking a passionate and skilled professional to join a growing team in the advanced engineering sector.
About the Role:
As a Production Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing the full manufacturing lifecycle of innovative mechanical and electrical products. This hands-on position offers diversity and responsibility, perfect for someone eager to make an impact!
Key Responsibilities:
Support the manufacturing of mechanical and electrical assemblies.
Act as the vital link between engineering design and production.
Create and maintain work instructions, process documentation, and quality controls.
Ensure smooth New Product Introduction (NPI) while optimising manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance quality and throughput.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues effectively.
Design or specify tooling, fixtures, and test equipment.
Provide training and technical support to production staff.
Promote safe working practices across operations.
Supervise the Quality Engineer and ensure adherence to high standards.
Qualifications &
Experience:
Essential:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years' experience in a mechanical/electrical manufacturing environment.
Hands-on production support experience alongside engineering knowledge.
Familiarity with manufacturing methods and mechanical/electrical systems.
Strong documentation and quality support skills.
Desirable:
Experience in product/system testing.
Knowledge of industry standards.
Design Engineering experience.
Proficiency in the use of CAD software.
