Senior Python Developer: Systems & POS Integrations

Vox AI is redefining drive-thru and restaurant automation with cutting-edge voice AI. Our system integrates deeply with POS systems, aggregators, and restaurant infrastructure, making ordering faster, more accurate, and easier to manage.

We’re venture-funded, scaling fast, and integrations are the backbone of our growth. This role is all about building robust, secure, and high-performance connections between our AI platform and the world’s most widely used restaurant systems. You’ll work directly with the CTO and take ownership of our integration layer powering QSR automation worldwide.

• Architect, build, and maintain third-party integrations with POS systems (Oracle, NCR, Par Tech, Toast, etc.), aggregators, and restaurant hardware.
• Design and implement API bridges, webhook handlers, and real-time data pipelines to keep AI and POS perfectly in sync.
• Develop fault-tolerant, secure, and observable integration services using Python, FastAPI, Pydantic, and modern Dev Sec Ops  practices.
• Handle complex data mappings, normalisation, and edge-case handling for real-world restaurant operations.
• Deploy and scale integration workloads on GCP (Cloud Run, Kubernetes, Firestore/No
  
  SQL, Cloud SQL) and/or AWS (Lambda, Dynamo
  
  DB, API Gateway, S3).
• Work with authentication/authorization flows (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, Cognito) to integrate securely with enterprise clients.
• Implement deep monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting processes (Prometheus, Grafana, Cloud Watch, App Insights) for all integrations.
• Collaborate closely with product and client teams to rapidly scope and deliver new integrations.

• Senior Python developer with strong experience in API and system integrations.
• Proven record building enterprise-grade connections to third-party systems — POS integrations a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployments (GCP and/or AWS) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
• Expertise in debugging distributed systems — from API timing issues to race conditions in data pipelines.
• Solid background in secure-by-design development, including data security, least privilege access, and vulnerability scanning.
• Skilled with observability tooling to monitor and troubleshoot production integrations.
• Familiar with streaming/queuing (Kafka, Rabbit
  
  MQ) and database engines (Postgre
  
  SQL, MySQL, Mongo
  
  DB, Dynamo
  
  DB).
• Bonus: experience with Go, Type Script, or high-throughput data processing pipelines.
